While consuming or cooking cheese we typically go with the simple kind and use it carefully, in dishes we think that they would work in.
At the GO cheese tasting event curated by GO Cheese in association with Femina, Chef Ranveer Brar enlightened us what type of cheese perfectly goes with the right type of wine, crackers and even fruits.We also learnt a lot about ways in which we could use cheese during cooking savory as well as sweet dishes.The right amount and kind of cheese can be used as a substitute to salt in basic desserts.
One of Chef Ranveer’s favourite combinations is Parmesan cheese and dark chocolate; he says it really brings out the flavor of the dessert. So next time you’re baking do try substituting salt with cheese. The event was great fun! We not only got to learn so much about cheese, we also got to try different types of cheese like cheddar, Gouda and flavored cream cheese.
